The Ministry Of PUPR Changes Pekanbaru City Government Land Compensation For The Impact Of Toll Roads
PEKANBARU - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is processing compensation for a number of assets of the Pekanbaru City Government (Pemkot), Riau, which were affected by the construction of the Pekanbaru-Jambi Toll Road section.
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Pekanbaru City, Indra Pomi, said that the compensation for the assets was not a roll exchange. However, compensation is replaced by a plot of land whose value is equivalent to the land sector of the affected city government.
"The compensation from the Ministry of PUPR is not in the form of money, but they buy land next to the tournament (reforestation) which is equivalent in value," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 19.
The asset compensation process is in the form of a number of city government assets in Rumbai District affected. In addition, social and public facilities there are also discussed.
Likewise, environmental roads that are hit by toll roads are looking for alternative routes. As for street lights, they will also be replaced.

"If the sheet pile, for example there is an 'upper pass' but the sheet pile is not damaged, it is not replaced," he said.
The location of the Pekanbaru-Jambi Toll Road has been determined since 2023. The length of the toll road in Pekanbaru City reaches 13.5 kilometers.
"The government has collected data and a total of 900 parcels of land have been affected by the construction of this toll road," he also said.
Then the appraisal process or assessment has been carried out on the land parcels affected by the construction of this toll road section. They have also conducted socialization to the community regarding this project.
