PBSI Opens Voice About No Title In Badminton Asia Team Championship 2024
JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) evaluates Indonesia's results without a title in the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championship (BATC).
Indonesia's furthest journey in the event was the quarter-finals that the men's team and the semifinals reached by the women's team.
Head of PBSI's Development and Achievement Division, Rionny Mainaky, said that the results were more than satisfactory because the Red-White team was strengthened by a coating team.
"Grateful to be strengthened by coating and young players, Indonesia became a semifinalist in the women's team and quarter-finals in the men's team BATC 2024," said Rionny in his statement.
The men's sector could not catch the title after losing in the quarter-finals against China. Meanwhile, the women's team as a result recognized Thailand's superiority in the last four.
The men's team lost dramatically 2-3 against the Bamboo Curtain country. The women's team failed to defend their title after giving up with a score of 1-3 against Thailand.
Rionny said that in general the men's doubles appeared dominant in the quarter-finals against China. They can contribute two points after the group stage failed to score.

"Meanwhile in the singles sector, our players still lose flight hours and experience from China. Despite losing, they learned a lot of lessons. Most importantly, players can also provide tight resistance against China."
"Young players like Alwi and Saut must learn more and gain as much experience as possible in the team arena," he said.
Meanwhile, the women's team, the journey to reach the semifinals is enough for them to pocket tickets to the Uber Cup which will take place in May 2024.
Furthermore, Rionny explained that the results obtained by the women's team were quite good. Moreover, this championship can hone the mentality of the players to face the next important tournament.
"The results at BATC 2024 can be an illustration of the fight for the Thomas and Uber Cups later. The players must also train even harder and continue to increase their fighting power on the field. Players must be bolder, not afraid, and have guts," he said.
"It's an important championship to train players mentally, especially for young players. Learning players don't have to be afraid as long as they have good guts."
"As good as anything, practice if you don't dare, yes, it's useless. In addition to diligently training, players need to also fight harder and dare in the field," he said.
