Bank DKI Earns IDR 1.02 Trillion Profit In 2023

JAKARTA - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Khusus Ibu Kota Jakarta or Bank DKI mencatatkan laba bersih Rp1,02 triliun pada 2023. Raihan ini naik 8,63 persen secara tahunan (year on year/yoy) dibandingkan laba bersih tahun sebelumnya Rp939 miliar.

Bank DKI's profit was driven by interest income which rose 17.82 percent yoy to Rp5.34 trillion. In addition, commission-based income or fee-based income reached Rp625 billion, up 8.47 percent yoy.

"This performance achievement is one of the milestones of Bank DKI which was realized thanks to the support and trust of all stakeholders," said Bank DKI Finance and Strategy Director Romy Wijayanto in a written statement, Monday, February 19.

In addition, Bank DKI recorded an operational burden to operating income ratio (BOPO) which fell from 78.19 percent in 2022 to 78.03 percent in 2023. The lower the BOPO ratio, the more efficient it is for banks to run their business.

For profitability ratio, Bank DKI recorded growth in asset return rate (ROA) which increased from 1.65 percent in 2022 to 1.67 percent in 2023. Then, the return on equity (ROE) rose from 10.10 percent in 2022 to 10.36 percent in 2023.

In terms of intermediation, Bank DKI recorded credit disbursement of IDR 52 trillion in 2023, up 7.49 percent yoy. Bank micro, small and medium enterprise loans (MSMEs) also grew rapidly 45 percent to IDR 5.59 trillion. MSME loans recorded a portion of 10.74 percent of total credit in 2023.

Bank DKI also recorded an increase in assets of 5.29 percent yoy to IDR 83.06 trillion as of the end of December 2023. In terms of asset quality, Bank DKI recorded a slight increase in the gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio from 1.75 percent in 2022 to 1.76 percent in 2023.

Meanwhile, net NPL rose from 0.27 percent to 0.58 percent. In terms of funding, Bank DKI recorded third party funds (DPK) of IDR 63.6 trillion, with a current account saving account (CASA) ratio of 46.65 percent.
