Six Naturals Injured In Fire In Malang City
A total of six people were reported to have been injured as a result of a fire that occurred at a food stall on Jalan Kerto Pamuji, Ketawanggede Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, East Java, Sunday.
Head of the Malang City Fire Department (PMK) Implementation Unit (UPT), Agoes Soebekti in Malang City, said that the incident that caused six people to suffer burns occurred at around 07.30 WIB.
"The victim has been evacuated and taken to the ER of the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSSA), to get further medical treatment," said Agoes.
He explained, after receiving reports related to the fire incident, the Malang City Fire Department deployed four fire engines with approximately 15 personnel to extinguish the fire.
According to him, when they arrived at the scene, the fire had been extinguished by the local community. However, the Malang City Damkar continued to check to ensure that the fire had been extinguished.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Lowokwaru Police, Kompol Anton Widodo, said that the six people who suffered the injuries were employees of the food stall. The six people are Ahmad Izzudin Mahdum (26), a resident of RT 1 RW 4 Wiyurejo Village, District, Pujon Malang Regency.
Then, Agus Riyanto (35), Novan Andinata (25), Tio Bagus Aji (24), Sonif Avianto (30) and Udin (30). All of the victims were residents of RT 14 RW 5 Wiyurejo Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency.
"It is possible that the victims suffered burns of up to 40 percent," he said.
Based on the results of the investigation, the cause of the fire was known to have started when one of the employees was about to start a stove for cooking. However, the employee smelled the smell of LPG gas.
Then, he continued, the employee looked for the origin of the gas and it was found that the three kilogram LPG cylinder had been installed by the regulator. Then, the employee took off the regulator and took the LPG cylinder to the bathroom.
"With a view, so that the gas does not come out and expands in the shop," he said.
After feeling safe and feeling the aroma of gas was not there, the shop employee continued his work. However, when starting the stove there was an explosion and accompanied by the emergence of fire due to the rest of the gas that was still concentrated in the kitchen.
