Repeated Terror From KKB, This Time Shooting Wings Air
JAKARTA - The Armed Criminal Group or KKB has again spread terror by firing Wings Air IW 1646 ATR 700 PK WGT during the landing process at Nophamphoon Dekai Airport, Yahukimo Regency, on Saturday, February 17. As a result, one soldier was injured.
"The information we received stated that the plane was hit by a shot on the left side, which penetrated the fuselage," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo in his statement, Saturday, February 17.
During the shooting, a soldier, Pratu Ongen, was injured. He was injured as a result of being hit by a broken plane wall.
"A passenger named Pratu Ongen suffered abrasions due to being hit by broken plane walls," he said.
Untuk mengungkap dan menangkap pelaku penembakan, Operasi Damai Cartenz 2024 bersama personel Brimob Yon D dan Polres Yahukimo mulai mencari petunjuk dan alat bukti.
"We have processed the crime scene (TKP) and asked for information from the flight crew. We are also coordinating with related parties to follow up on this case and pursue the shooter," said Benny.
Previously, the KKB also opened fire on the Caravan Asian One plane when it was about to land at Beoga airport, Puncak Regency, Central Papua.
