President Jokowi Will Groundbreaking Banking Facilities At IKN
Head of the Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono said that President Joko Widodo would conduct the fifth groundbreaking in the form of banking and education facilities at IKN in the next 2-3 weeks.
"God willing, in the next 2-3 weeks the President will lead the fifth groundbreaking again," Bambang said in an online "Pasca IKN Jakarta Future" seminar in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 17.
Bambang said that the fifth phase of the groundbreaking will cover the banking sector and several educational facilities.
"The banking sector will enter there and several educational facilities. One of them has entered the Jakarta International School, but there is Nusantara International School, NIS," said Bambang.
The total public and private investment that is included in IKN until January 2024 is IDR 47.5 trillion. Meanwhile, for investments originating only from the private sector, around IDR 35.9 trillion has been groundbreaking and is now in process.
Several private investors and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) have also started building five-star hotels, warehousing and logistics areas, Nusantara Warehouse to Nusantara Logistic Hub.
Bambang said the investment could be a stimulant or market confidence in the government's plan.
"This government investment will trigger other private sectors to enter and will take a lot of time," he said.
OIKN targets this year's investment of IDR 100 trillion, both from the public and the private sector. The public investment can come from SOEs to non-governmental institutions.
