Sidoarjo Regent Responds To KPK Calls On Alleged Corruption At BPPD
JAKARTA - Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor Ali fulfilled the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Friday, February 16. He was examined as a witness in the alleged deduction and receipt of money within the Sidoarjo Regency Government's Tax Service Agency (BPPD), East Java.
"Ahmad Muhdlor Ali, the Regent of Sidoarjo is currently present and an investigation is being carried out by the investigative team," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Friday, February 16.
This examination is a reschedule because Ahmad Muhdlor was not present on Friday, February 2.
In addition, investigators also summoned three other people as witnesses in the same case. They are Surendro Nurbawono who is an ASN Sidoarjo Regional Government; Director of CV Asmara Karya, Imam Purwanto alias Irwan ; and a private company named Robbin Alan Nuhgoho.
It is not yet known what the anti-corruption commission investigators will investigate against Ahmad Muhdlor and three other witnesses. However, they are suspected of knowing the suspect's actions in this case.
Previously reported, the Head of the Sub Division (Kasubag) General and Personnel of the Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD) of Sidoarjo Regency, Siska Wati was named a suspect in the alleged case of cutting and receiving money from BPPD ASN in Sidoarjo by the KPK. The decision was made after he was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, January 25.

In this case, Siska allegedly cut 10 to 30 percent of the incentives that should have been received by ASN BPPD Sidoarjo Regency.
As a result of his actions, he was suspected of violating Article 12 letter f of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
