Observer: After The 2024 Election, Infrastructure Development Must Continue

JAKARTA - Infrastructure observer from Andalas University of Padang, West Sumatra, Akhmad Suraji said that infrastructure and housing development must continue after the quick calculation of the 2024 General Election.

"Whatever the official results of the 2024 General Election, infrastructure and housing development must continue with proper policies, governance, and technology, quality, useful and sustainable, and provide added value for the social justice of all Indonesian people," said Akhmad Suraji, quoted from Antara, Thursday 15 February.

According to him, the elected new government must prioritize the development of basic infrastructure throughout Indonesia.

"Whoever the government will later, basic infrastructure such as transportation, drinking water, and sanitation and irrigation networks needs priority attention," he said.

Road networks, airports, and ports to open accessibility, connectivity, and the mobility of goods and services into social overhead capital for prosperity.

Infrastructure for the provision of raw water, drinking water, and provision of sanitation is a social overhead capital for the welfare of the people, namely people living a healthy, happy, and productive life.
