Rhoma Irama Hopes Elected Leaders Obey The Constitution
JAKARTA - Legendary dangdut singer Rhoma Irama hopes that whoever is elected as the leader of Indonesia in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) obeys the constitution while carrying out his duties. "That's right to carry out his duties as president, as a head of state who obeys the constitution," Rhoma said as quoted by Antara, Thursday.
He also hopes that this democratic party will uphold the principles of honesty and justice, so that people can make their choices according to their wishes and create a safe and peaceful election process. "Yes, jurdil (honest and fair) so that people can make the right choices so that elections can be safe. That's a condition, just honesty," said Rhoma.
The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, members of the provincial DPRD, as well as members of the district/city DPRD with a national voter list (DPT) of 204,807,22 voters. The 2024 election was attended by 18 national political parties namely (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party. Next, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the Archipelago Awakening Party (PKN), the Hanura Party, the Garuda Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Democratic Party, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), the Perindo Party, the United Development Party (PPP), and the Ummat Party.
