The Day Before The 2024 Presidential Election, JCI Drops 1.20 Percent
JAKARTA - The day before the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) and Presidential Election (Pilpres), the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) fell 1.20 percent or 87.92 points to 7,209.74 until the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Tuesday, February 13.
Meanwhile, the JCI opened at the level of 7,297.66 while the highest level of the JCI today is at the level of 7,304.51 and the lowest is at 7,197.82.
The total volume of exchange transactions reached 15.00 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp9.80 trillion. A total of 214 stocks rose, 308 stocks fell and 245 stocks were flat.
JCI was recorded to have weakened 0.40 percent in the last week of trading. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, the JCI was recorded to have weakened 0.87 percent.
Nine sector indexes fell until trade was completed, including the raw goods sector slumped 2.01 percent, the infrastructure sector plunged 1.01 percent, the property and real estate sector fell 0.69 percent, the primary consumption goods sector fell 0.62 percent, the health sector was cut 0.57 percent, the financial sector fell 0.50 percent, the technology sector eroded 0.42 percent, the non-primary consumption goods sector was cut 0.20 percent, the industrial sector weakened 0.17 percent.
Meanwhile, the two sector indexes strengthened until the close of the market, namely the transportation and logistics sectors rose 0.62 percent and the energy sector slightly rose 0.04 percent.
The LQ45 index weakened 0.70 percent to 988.165, while Japan's Nikkei 225 index rose 2.89 percent, Hang Seng Hong Kong, China's Shanghai Composite closed in today's trading. Meanwhile, the Singaporean Straits Times rose 0.05 percent.

Meanwhile, those who entered the top loss ranks were shares of PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), down 1,000 or 19.61 percent to Rp4,100, shares of PT Petrindo Jaya Kreai Tbk (CUAN) down 725 or 9.93 percent to Rp6,575, and shares of PT Barito Renewable Energy Tbk (BREN) down 400 or 7.34 percent to Rp5,050.
