Sandy Walsh Wants To Play In Indonesian League 1
JAKARTA Indonesian national team player, Sandy Walsh, opens the possibility to play in Liga 1 when he enters a somewhat older age.
He said this when talking on his YouTube account. He said playing in Liga 1 is an option that might be taken someday.
"I want to play the Indonesian League 1 in the future when I am a little older. I think the current situation is getting better every year every season. So, yes, maybe I will play League 1 in the future," said Sandy.
The 28-year-old is currently defending Belgian club KV Mechelen. Previously, Sandy Walsh was noted to have strengthened Genk and Zulte Waregem.
Sandy's contract with Mechelen will only expire in 2025. He has not announced his future after a career at the club.

Sandy said that apart from Indonesia, he also did not rule out playing for other clubs in Asia in the next ten years.
"In the next ten years I don't know. I hope to go to Asia to stay healthy to play football a lot. I also want to go to the next Asian Cup with the Indonesian national team. Go to the World Cup," he said.
Sandy officially became an Indonesian citizen (WNI) in 2022. However, he was only able to make his debut with the Indonesian national team in 2023 because he had several injury problems.
Sandy then entered Shin Tae Yong's squad at the 2023 Asian Cup earlier this year. In that tournament he became one of the players who stood out in the squad.
