Toyota GR86 Will Come With The Latest Generation With Hybrid Technology And Powered Machines

JAKARTA - It has been three years, the second generation of Toyota GR86 shows its existence as a sports-style car that many people like. However, it is rumored that this model will get a third generation in the near future.

According to Carscoops, Monday, February 12, the Subaru BRZ will carry the latest engine, which is a turbocharged 3-cylinder combined with a hybrid system.

Thus, it is estimated that Toyota GR86 will use engines from GR Yaris and GR Corolla, but produce more than 300 dk of power. In addition, this model will combine several similar hybrid systems such as the Land Cruiser 250 and the upcoming Lexus GX.

The configuration implies that the manufacturer maintains the front engine layout by driving the rear wheels. It is also hoped that the car will offer two manual or automatic transmission options.

It is estimated that Toyota will cooperate with Subaru in the development of this model. However, that possibility could be speculation only if the company decides to develop the GR86 model itself. If that happens, then Subaru BRZ will meet the triple phase. However, the manufacturer with the'six stars' logo has plans to develop a compact sports couple. Unfortunately, information about this is still very limited.

Given a hybrid system in the GR86 model, this is in line with multi-path planning, which is to present various vehicle options in order to expand the environmentally friendly ecosystem.

Previously in the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, Toyota also presented the FT-Se concept, namely sports cars with Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) technology. Although it will fill the sports car segment, the appearance of this vehicle resembles a futuristic supercar.

Unfortunately, the company did not provide detailed specifications about this model. However, it is certain that this car will be developed under the auspices of the Gazoo Racing (GR) division. It is stated that the production version will resemble the concept that has been exhibited.
