Alfamart And Alfamidi Limit Premium Rice Purchases, Management: Few Thin Stocks And Supply
JAKARTA - Modern retailers Alfamart and Alfamidi are now limiting the purchase of premium rice. Where buyers are only allowed to buy as many as two sacks of 5 kilograms (5kg). There is even only one sack.
Director of License and Corporate Affairs of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk, Solihin confirmed that his party was limiting the purchase of premium rice in his shops. The reason for the restrictions, said Solihin, was because the stock in the company's warehouse was running low.
"That's right, it's limited. You can still buy two, you should only be able to buy one. Because the stock is running low," he said when contacted by VOI, in Jakarta, Monday, February 12.
Solihin also said that the supply or supply from producers was also very small. Therefore, his party applies the rules for limiting the purchase of premium rice.
"Supply, from the supplier, the goods are also running low. If it is not (limited) it will not be obtained, the goods people will buy it later," he said.
Solihin also said that the price obtained was increasing. In fact, he admitted that the profit from the product was very thin.

Even so, Solihin said that the premium rice supply obtained from this supplier must be divided into shops so that these products remain even though the stock is not large.
The purchase price from our supplier is getting higher. So here we also obey government regulations which require us to retail and sell prices according to HET, which is IDR 69,500 per 5kg for premium rice. Meanwhile, the purchase price is close to our selling price," he explained.
