Danish Defense Minister: Russia Can Attack NATO Countries In 3-5 Years
JAKARTA - Denmark said Russia could attack member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) within three to five years.
"Russian capacity to produce military equipment has increased rapidly," Troels Defense Minister Lund Poulsen told the Danish Jyllands-Posten newspaper reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Saturday, February 10.
"It is undeniable that within three to five years, Russia will test Article 5 and NATO solidarity. That is not a NATO assessment in 2023. That is new information that is emerging today," he said.
"Russia has the potential to have a desire to (launch an attack). Currently they can also have military capabilities earlier than we expected," added the Danish defense minister.
