Hundreds Of Students Demo Reject Hate Speech And Hoaxes For The 2024 Election In The Horse Statue Area
JAKARTA - Hundreds of joint students from the Jakarta Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas who are members of the Political Student Block Against and Youth Indonesia Center (PIC) held a demonstration in the Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta. The mass of students refused hate speech and hoaxes in the 2024 General Election.
The hundreds of students previously carried out a convoy from the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) Senayan to the Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta.
Abdul Faqih Ramadhani, a Yapia Parung vocational school student, said that ahead of the election on February 14, students hoped that there would be no hate speech against the presidential candidate pair/
"We hope there will be no more hate speech to anyone," Faqih said when confirmed, Saturday, February 10.
Although it is different in determining its choice in the 2024 General Election, the Indonesian people are asked to remain united. It is hoped that the election will run safely and peacefully.
"This is in accordance with the motto of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, 'Even though we are different, but we are still one," he said.
In their statement, students urged that there be no more spread of hoax news and hate speech, so that efforts to vilify the symbols of the state and the president can cause division.

Students also ask all elements involved in democratic parties to provide good political education for youth and students.
"We demand that there be no more acts of fighting against each other in all circles including the polarization of youth and students just because of political promises, promises of office and the practice of money politics," he said.
Students also ask experts, academics and politicians to be good examples for youth and students in responding and contesting the 2024 election democracy party.
