Long Weekend, A Total Of 292,000 Vehicles Are Predicted To Cross The Cipali Toll Road

JAKARTA - Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road Operators or Cipali Toll Astra predict as many as 292,000 vehicles will pass on the Cipali Toll Road during the 2024 Chinese New Year and Isra Mikraj holidays. The surge in vehicles increased by 27.5 percent from normal daily traffic.

"We predict that the peak flow of the Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2024 holidays will occur on Thursday, February 8, 2024, with an increase of up to 46 percent compared to normal LHR," said Head of the Operations Division of Astra Tol Cipali Sri Mulyo in his official statement, Wednesday, January 7.

Meanwhile, the peak of backflow is predicted to occur on Sunday, February 11, 2024, with an increase of up to 41 percent compared to normal LHR. To support smooth traffic flow during this weekend's holiday, Astra Tol Cipali coordinated with Korlantas Polri to prepare a traffic engineering plan.

Based on the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Ministry of Transportation UM.207/6/15/DJPD/2024, the traffic flow engineering schedule will be carried out on:

1. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 16.00-24.00, the Cipali Toll Road applies to KM 7287;

2. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 08.00-24.00, the Cipali Toll Road applies to KM 7287;

3. Friday, February 9, 2024 at 08.00-24.00, the Cipali Toll Road applies to KM 72 '87.

- Backflow

1. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 08.00-24.00, the Cipali Toll Road applies to KM 72 '87.

2. Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 08.00-24.00, the Cipali Toll Road applies to KM 72 '87.

Sri Mulyo added, in order to support the flow of holidays this weekend, the standby points will be in Rest Area 86, 130 and 166 towards Cirebon. Meanwhile, on the backflow, the contra-flavor point for Cipali Toll Contra officers is located in Rest Areas 86, 130 and 164 towards Jakarta.

Cipali Toll Astra officers also prepared infrastructure facilities in the form of 3,000 rubbercones to support the implementation of contra flow. The implementation of contra flow that applies on the Cipali Toll Road is still situational in adjusting the volume of traffic (traffic) and coordination of the Korlantas Polri.

Astra Tol Cipali also imposed restrictions on goods transportation in the period 7 February 2024 at 16.00 WIB until 11 February 2024 at 24.00 WIB.

This restriction does not apply to the transportation of goods that contain fuel oil or gas fuel, delivery of money, election logistics/elections, needs for handling natural disasters, livestock, fertilizers, animal feed and goods.

Astra Tol Cipali appealed to vehicle users to always maintain the safety of themselves, their families and other users by complying with speed traffic signs, at least 60 km per hour and a maximum of 100 km per hour. However, if it rains, the maximum speed limit is 70 km per hour.

"Make sure the condition of the vehicle and the driver's physical condition is in excellent condition. Don't forget to check routine vehicles and check tire pressure before traveling," he added.
