2 Grandfathers Involved In Counterfeit Money In South Kalimantan Arrested By Police
The Tabalong Police, South Kalimantan Police, arrested two elderly residents with the initials MA (73) from Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan, and SA (62) from Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency because they stumbled on a case of counterfeit money circulation.Tabalong Police Chief AKBP Anib Bastian said the arrests of the two grandfathers began with the disclosure of the case of the circulation of counterfeit money with suspect MH (25), a resident of Walangkir Village, Tanta District, Tabalong Regency, at Bentung Tanjung Market."The perpetrator MH admitted to getting money allegedly fake from the suspect MA by exchanging Rp. 500 thousand in real money for counterfeit money worth Rp. 1 million," said Anib in Tanjung, Tabalong Regency, Antara, Wednesday, February 7.Tabalong Police Criminal Investigation Unit officers arrested suspect MH based on a complaint from a fried rice seller at Tanjung Market with the initials IB (62) who received alleged counterfeit money in the form of a sheet worth Rp. 100,000.The police confiscated evidence of nine counterfeit notes of Rp. 100,000 from the suspect MH.Furthermore, officers arrested the Supreme Court at Keramat Terminal, North Barabai, Barabai District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency."The perpetrator MH was introduced to the Supreme Court through the intermediary perpetrators SA and JT, residents of Malang City who are now in the DPO," said Anib.
Meanwhile, the SA suspect was arrested by the police in Muara Pemangkih Village, North Labuan Amas District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency.To the police, the Supreme Court suspect admitted to buying counterfeit money from PJ worth Rp. 1 million in real money exchanged for counterfeit money of Rp. 2 million.
