Indonesian Independent Farmers Community Declaration Supports 03: We Used To Support Pak Jokowi, Now Bung Ganjar

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Independent Farmers Community (KPMI) of Grobogan Regency has declared support for candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD. Paslon number 3 is considered capable of undergoing Indonesia's food sovereignty program.

"We are the Indonesian Independent Farmers Community in Grobogan Regency, in the previous presidential election we supported Pak Jokowi, today we support Bung Ganjar," said Iwan Ganis, one of the KPMI representatives in a written statement, Wednesday, February 7.

Iwan said the reason for supporting Ganjar-Mahfud was because the Ganjar-Mahfud pair was able to undergo the food sovereignty program in Indonesia. He also rejected the issue that stated Ganjar could not continue Joko Widodo's struggle.

"Because in Pak Ganjar's program, it is clear that there is food sovereignty," said Iwan.

He also believes that the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD can carry the aspirations of farmers and hopes to present a program that will prosper farmers if Ganjar-Mahfud is elected president in 2024.

This declaration of support was received directly by the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, he also thanked the farmers who had entrusted their support to him and Mahfud Md.

"Thank you for providing support. I'm ready to vote," said Ganjar.
