Police Arrest 2 Suspects Of Breaking Into The Gasak 56 IPhone HP Store In Solo, 1 Is Still At Large
The Surakarta City Police managed to uncover 56 units of iPhone brand theft at a mobile phone shop on Jalan Yosodipuro, Mangkubumen, Banjarsari, Solo, Central Java (Central Java).
"The police managed to uncover the case of the theft of 56 iPhone cellphones by arresting two perpetrators, namely the initials RR alias B and DW alias K, both residents of Sangkrah Pasar Kliwon Solo, while one other perpetrator, PI alias B is on the wanted list (DPO)," said Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Pol Iwan Saktiadi at a press conference at the Surakarta Police Headquarters, Wednesday, February 7, confiscated by Antara.
Iwan said, based on reports and investigations, his party concluded that the perpetrators were RR, DW and PI. The Surakarta City Police then arrested RR and DW at Sangkrah's house, Pasar Kliwon.
When arrested, the two perpetrators admitted to panic and confusion with the large amount of stolen goods, they then threw 41 iPhones into the Bengawan Solo River.
According to him, the two perpetrators admitted to breaking into and stealing dozens of iPhone units by breaking the shop lock door and putting the stolen iPhone in a sack of 56 units.
Iwan said the suspect felt confused and afraid to be tracked, they then threw some cellphones that were still active into the Bengawan Solo River. The suspect admitted that 41 iPhones were thrown into the Bengawan Solo River.

He explained that iPhones that were inactive or had not been activated by theft, they stored them by burying them in the ground around the river. Three days later, they took the buried iPhone and intended to sell it via DW alias K.
The perpetrators of the theft were arrested by the police at their respective homes at KLiwon Market Solo, on January 19 and 20, 2024. The evidence that was confiscated from the perpetrators included one iPhone unit, savings book, L key and one iPhone X unit.
From the case of the theft of 56 cellphones, the victim suffered a loss of around Rp. 300 million. The police are still investigating this case, and are trying to find the iPhone that was thrown into the Bengawan Solo River for evidence.
Iwan said from the statements the perpetrators admitted to committing theft for the first time. They are desperate to steal because it is based on economic needs and work that does not provide maximum results.
For the actions of the two suspects, they will be charged with Article 363 paragraph 1, the third, fourth, and fifth of the Criminal Code, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
