Pandantoyo Kediri Gas Station Robbed, Employees Arrested, Tens Of Millions Lost

KEDIRI - The Ngancar Sector Police officers handled a robbery case accompanied by a gang of robbers at a gas station in Pandantoyo Village, Kediri Regency, East Java.

Ngancar Police Chief AKP Chardi Kukuh said the robbery case occurred on Wednesday, February 7, at around 01.00 WIB.

The perpetrators are suspected of five people molesting and detaining a gas station employee named Dewa Bayu Saputra (22), a resident of Jagul Village, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency.

"The perpetrator wore a veil, so the victim could not recognize him. The perpetrator abused and detained the victim. At the scene of the case we found the tools of the handyman, plier and screwdriver," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

When the robbery case occurred, the victim Dewa Bayu was sleeping in the back room of the gas station.

The victim then woke up when he heard a noise similar to a rock falling from above.

The victim, he said, also had time to sleep again after hearing the noise. However, not long after, someone pushed the front door where he slept and abused him.

"The victim then felt that someone was pushing the front door. Then, suddenly the victim was mistreated by the perpetrator," he said.

The perpetrator then tied the victim's hand with a belt. The victim's mouth was also covered with a cloth. He suffered a number of wounds on his limbs. The left cheek was swollen, then the lips were bruised, his back and right side of the body were also abrasions.

The perpetrator then looked for a drawer where the money was stored and found it. The perpetrator then stole around Rp35 million in cash which was at the safe.

The second victim was also unable to do much when the perpetrator stole the money at the safe. The perpetrator then immediately fled when he finished taking the money at the safe.

Meanwhile, the victim, who was still in a bound state, was finally able to escape and get out of the confinement location through the back window.

The police reported the case. Officers who found the report to the scene and conducted a crime scene (TKP). The police also asked for information from the victim and a number of other witnesses to confirm the chronology of the case so that it could be revealed as soon as possible.
