29 TPS In Central Jakarta Prone To Floods, KPU Prepares A Technical Voter Scheme
The General Election Commission of Central Jakarta recorded 29 polling stations (TPS) for the 2024 General Election prone to flooding spread across Tanah Abang, West Cempaka Putih, Menteng, Kemayoran and Menteng areas.
Head of the Educational Socialization Division for Voters and Community Participants and Human Resources of the Central Jakarta KPU, Sahat Dohar Manullang, said this data was the result of coordination with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
"If there is a flood disaster, the location of the polling place will be moved to a safe place," said Sahat when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Sahat said that the voting would later adjust the situation. If it is not possible, the vote will continue some time later.

"In the general election, there are understandings. There are follow-up elections, re-voting, and further voting. And that's the category that will continue. Later, the KPU will decide when the situation is safe," said Sahat.
However, the Central Jakarta KPU claims that preparations for the 2024 General Election have reached 90 percent. Logistics in the form of ballot boxes will be distributed to polling stations the day before the vote, namely on February 13, 2024.
