BYD Officially Present In Indonesia, Here's Chery's Response

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has just launched an electric car Omoda E5 which is priced at less than IDR 500 million.

Not only Chery, but other automotive manufacturers from China have also begun to focus on the Indonesian market by offering a variety of cars from ICE and pure electric cars.

Build Your Dreams (BYD) is the latest to enter the Indonesian market by directly presenting three electric cars at once in early January.

Responding to BYD's arrival, Chery remains confident because he has more line-up and has experience in the Indonesian market. This was revealed by Zeng Shuo as Assistant President Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI).

"In Indonesia, as a global company, we are first and longer than BYD. Then we not only have electric cars, but also gasoline cars that are superior," he said in Jakarta, Monday, February 5.

Furthermore, he said, that way Chery could feel special in Indonesia. In addition, sales and services Chery is more mature because it operates first from BYD.

"Every product that is to be offered to the market is always researched, such as in the Omoda series. So that our products are superior in meeting public expectations and needs," he added.

As additional information, currently Chery has a variety of cars, such as Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro and OMODA 5, the latest electric cars Omoda E5 which are launching Globally in Indonesia. Meanwhile, BYD has only presented 3 cars, all of which are electric, BYD Seal, BYD Dolphin and BYD Atto 3.
