Jasa Marga Opens Voice About Guideboards For Collapsed Direction On The Pamulang-Cinere Toll Road

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga through the operator of the Serpong-Cinere Toll Road, PT Cinere-Serpong Jaya (CSJ) has opened its voice regarding the collapse of a pointing board on the Pamulang-Cinere Toll Road, South Tangerang.

Marketing & Communication Department Head of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Panji Satriya said strong winds were the cause of the collapse of the pointing board.

"The impact of strong winds that occurred in the Serpong-Cinere Toll Road area, one of the signs of a bow pointing at the Pamulang Interchange collapsed," he said in a written statement received by VOI, Tuesday, February 6.

Panji said that currently the road sign had been evacuated out of the location by officers within 1 hour after the incident and the lane was safe for vehicles to pass.

"Regarding this, no road users were affected by the incident. Traffic at the scene gradually returned to normal," he said.

Furthermore, Panji also apologized for the inconvenience that occurred. "For this incident, an evaluation and re-examination will be carried out on all signs that have been installed to prevent similar incidents from happening again," he said.

As previously reported, a video has gone viral recording a pointing board that collapsed on the Pamulang-Cinere Toll Road, South Tangerang.

The viral video was originally uploaded by the Instagram account @aya****. In the video, a pointing board appears to have collapsed at the toll road exit intersection.

Until now, it is not known exactly how many kilometers (KM) the pointer board collapsed.

Based on the video uploaded by Instagram user @aya****, the board collapsed due to strong winds that hit the toll road area.

Luckily, there were no casualties in the incident and the condition of the toll road was not crowded.

"Innalilahi, after a few seconds, the new toll road sign Pamulang wants to go to Cinere fell in front of our eyes. Qadarullah wants to be as solid as possible, the construction can still collapse and thank God we are safe in the car," wrote the video account Instagram @aya*****, on Tuesday, February 6.
