Israel Claims Ready To Solve Problems With Hezbollah
JAKARTA - Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told Amos Hochstein, chief adviser to United States President Joe Biden, Tel Aviv is ready to resolve the issue with the Hezbollah group in Lebanon through a diplomatic agreement.
Gallant met Hochstein in Tel Aviv to discuss security issues on the Lebanese border and find ways to get Israeli refugees back into their homes, according to a statement by the Israeli Defense Ministry.
"We are ready to resolve the problem with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon through diplomatic steps. However, we are also ready with other scenarios," said Gallant as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, February 5.

He said Israel was determined to improve security on the Lebanese border and eradicate the threat of attacks from there.
Since October 8 last year, tensions on the Israeli-Lebanon border have escalated and sporadic firefights have occurred between Israeli soldiers on one side and Hezbollah and with Palestinian factions on the other, which resulted in casualties and injuries, including Lebanese civilians.
