Motorcyclist Dies In Cawang, Allegedly Slipped By Flood Inundation

JAKARTA - An unidentified motorcyclist was found dead lying on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Makasar District, East Jakarta on Monday, February 5, afternoon.

Adi, one of the eyewitnesses, said that he had seen the victim lying down and being helped by other motorists to be pushed over to a UKI Cawang bus stop.

After the victim and his motorbike were pushed over, other residents immediately contacted the medical team of the DKI Jakarta Health Office. The victim allegedly fell from the motorbike due to slipping while driving due to slippery road conditions when it rained and flooded puddles.

"The victim was assisted by residents, after that I called the ambulance," Adi told reporters, Monday, February 5.

Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Regional Traffic Unit, which was at the location, immediately identified the victim. Now the police are handling the case to find out the exact cause of the victim's death.

"(The victim) was a motorcyclist. He was immediately taken to the side of the residents," he said.

Furthermore, the victim's body was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Central Jakarta. Meanwhile, the case is handled by the East Jakarta Satwil Traffic Unit.
