Prosecutor's Office Receives Files Of Brigadier TO Rape Student, Detention Still At NTB Police

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) investigators handed over the case file of Brigadier TO related to the alleged rape of a student with the initials PU (20) to the local prosecutor's office.

"We have just transferred the file to the research prosecutor," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Syarif Hidayat in Mataram, NTB, Monday, February 5, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, now investigators are just waiting for the results of the prosecutor's research, and if there are still clues, investigators will immediately complete and transfer them back to the research prosecutor.

"If it has been declared complete, of course we will continue the second stage, namely the delegation of suspects and evidence to the public prosecutor," he said.

Syarif ensured that investigators were still carrying out detention by entrusting the person concerned at the NTB Police Detention Center.

"His detention in special cells is under the supervision of Bidpropam (Professional and security fields)," he said.

In handling the rape case, aka rape involving members of the National Police, Syarif assured his party to continue to follow up professionally.

He emphasized that there is no special protection for members of the National Police who commit disgraceful acts.

"So, we emphasize that there is no special treatment for members who commit criminal acts," said Syarif.

In the completeness of the case file, he said, investigators had found at least two pieces of evidence that corroborated the suspicion that Brigadier TO had forced the victim.

The evidence is in the form of a post-mortem from the hospital and information from fellow victims who have had an argument with Brigadier TO because they have committed indecent acts against the victim.

In addition, he said, investigators had also listened to the legal opinion of academic experts who concluded that Brigadier TO's confession regarding the actions in the victim's boarding house on November 24, 2023, because the reason for liking each other was not true.
