The Merger Of Alumunium In Cibarusah Bekasi Pollutes The Environment, The Regency Government Temporarily Seals
JABAR - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) has sealed the aluminum smelting business in Tempuran Village RT 001/002, Ridomanah Village, Cibarusah District, Bekasi Regency.
Head of the Bekasi Regency Environment Agency, Syafri Donny Sirait, said that PT AGT's efforts to pollute the environment were subject to administrative sanctions in the form of temporary suspension of production activities.
"The termination of production activities is carried out through the installation of PPLH Line and warning boards at the company's operational location," he said in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Monday, February 5, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said the action against the company began with reports from the public who claimed to be restless and disturbed by aluminum smelting activities because they caused smoke to a pungent smell.
Another basis for other action is that the company concerned is suspected of violating statutory provisions regarding the environment because it operates without environmental approval and business licensing.
This is as stated in Article 82A letter a amendment to Law (UU) Number 32 of 2009, Law Number 6 of 2023, Article 3 paragraph (1) (3) (4), article 4, article 86, and article 88 paragraph (5), and Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021.
