Out Of The Comfort Zone, Jeff Waters Completes 3 Solo Albums
JAKARTA - In a new interview with The Metal Voice conducted at last month's NAMM convention in Anaheim, California, the mastermind of the metal band Annihilator, Jeff Waters gave new news about the new music.
However, it wasn't Annihilator's album but his solo album. And he has completed three albums at once.
"I've been doing this Annihilator thing for... Yes, it's been 35 years since I released my first mini album entitled 'Alice In Hell', and I'm just going to do a show [with Annihilator in] a festival in Europe this year," Waters said. started.
"But I've been working on what we all seem to want to do when they want to get out of the band they want, it's a solo project. I've finished three albums in the last three years. And it will be released soon," he continued.
Regarding the musical direction of his solo material, Waters said he was doing something outside his comfort zone. A kind of tribute album for his idols.

"Now is the time to be creative and do something outside heavy metal music. So this is more of hard rock music. Starting from disco, The Knack, Kiss, to early songs hard rock, heavy metal, 70s, 80s, a little Van Halen, of course," he explained.
"So it's not something innovative, amazing new things [which] will come out for me. It's more like respect, in my own way."
