Minister Of ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto: Certified Citizens' Land Protected By Law

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto revealed that the land of residents certified is protected by law.

"Ladies and gentlemen already have land certificates, proof of land rights, meaning that the lands that you have are protected by law," Hadi said at the handover of land certificates to the people at GOR Si Jalak Harupat, Bandung Regency, West Java, quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 3.

According to Hadi, land certification is very important for the community in order to protect land owned by residents and not be seized by irresponsible persons.

"So at this time what I'm saying is because you already have a certificate. Finally (the land) is protected, so it will not be taken by other people," he said.

On this occasion, Hadi also reminded people who have received land certificates to really maintain the certificate.

He added, because there was a case out there, namely borrowing a certificate, only borrowing a loan. Then the certificate was brought by an individual to a cooperative or bank to be operated by someone else.

The easiest and most worrying thing is that the land certificate is guaranteed to moneylenders because they do not have to follow procedures.

"After that, when you asked (the land certificate) it was already secured. Finally, the ladies and gentlemen had to replace the money. From these cases, I want to remind you that the land certificates that have been received are kept and maintained properly. This is a very valuable asset," said Hadi.

Minister of ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Joko Widodo to hand over land certificates at the handing over of Land Certificates for the People at the Sports Center (GOR) Si Jalak Harupat, Bandung Regency, West Java Province, Saturday.

The certificate was handed over directly to 3,000 recipients.

The certificate given is the result of a complete systematic land registration program (PTSL) run by the Bandung Regency Land Office (Kantah) in 2023.
