Free Kentongan Will Be Distributed By The AMIN Grand Campaign At JIS, A Symbol Of Sound Thief Alert
JAKARTA - Assistant coach of the National Team for Winning Anies-Muhaimin (AmIN National Team) Jazilul Fawaid said his party would distribute free kentongan during the grand campaign at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), February 10, 2024.
"You can take it there later, it's free," he said in a written statement reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 2.
This was conveyed by Gus Jazil in response to the "1 Million Kentongan Movement for Change" which was spearheaded by the Nusantara Santri Community Forum (FormasNU).
"The response is extraordinary, thank God. Many asked to be sent to hang out because they realized that our country was not doing well," he asserted.
According to Gus Jazil, kentongan became a symbol of warning, as well as representing the anxiety of the people who witnessed the threat to democracy.
"They see various forms of intimidation, fraud, and partyship of the apparatus which have recently been shown to be increasingly open," said the Deputy Chairperson of the PKB.
Gus Jazil said, to accommodate public enthusiasm, the AMIN national team will open a special stand that provides pocketing during Anies-Muhaimin's grand campaign at JIS.

He also invited volunteers and supporters of AMIN to put up kentongan at home, if necessary to the TPS, to scare the sound thieves.
"In the past in the village, kentongan sounded if there were thieves. Now what we are facing is the same, but more terrible, namely the thief of the people's voice," he asserted.
