Airlangga About Academic Petitions For Jokowi's Criticism: It's A Figure Wearing A Campus Name
MAMUJU - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto assessed that the petition submitted by academics from a number of universities to the government was an expression of criticism by certain figures who used the name of the campus.
"It's a figure who wears a campus (name)," said Airlangga in Mamuju, West Sulawesi, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 2.
Airlangga also mentioned himself as an alumni of Gadjah Mada University (UGM). He conveyed this in response to the "Petisi Bulaksumur" which is a petition containing criticism from UGM alumni of the government.
"Bulakslamb, I'm also from Bulaksumur," said Airlangga.
Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo emphasized the petition from several academics from a number of universities related to his government as a right of opinion and democracy.
"Yes, it is the right of democracy, everyone can speak, have opinions, go ahead," said President Jokowi.

Previously, several academics from a number of universities such as Gadjah Mada University alumni (UGM) and the academic community of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) submitted a petition in the form of criticism of the Jokowi government. They alluded to ethics and statesmanship in their petition.
