Toyota Indonesia Records Positive Trend Of Sales Of Electrified Vehicles In 2023, This Model Becomes Supporting
PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) opened this year with positive news recording sales of electrified vehicles reaching 37,736 units in 2023.
In the data received, Kijang Innova Zenix HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) managed to become Toyota's xEV sales locomotive with a total of 27,705 units in 2023, followed by Yaris Cross HEV (5,476 units) and Corolla Cross HEV (1,217 units). An important historical record, Toyota's xEV sales have increased sharply by more than eight times from 2022.
"Launching All New Kijang Innova Zenix and Yaris Cross received positive public interest, especially the HEV model which directly led the sale of our electrification vehicle," said Vice President Director of PT. Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Henry Tanoto, in his statement, Friday, February 2.
Furthermore, Henry Tanoto hopes that with the increasingly complete choice of Toyota's new model, especially xEV this year, it can make a significant contribution in encouraging sales growth of four-wheeled vehicles and presenting ever better cars that suit customer needs.
At the same time, Toyota bZ4X, Toyota's first battery-based electric vehicle (Buttery Electric Vehicle / BEV), which was marketed in Indonesia, recorded sales figures of 479 units during 2023.

In total, Toyota's vehicle sales figures, including Lexus, increased from 332,443 units in 2022 to 339,292 units in 2023. PT TAM's vehicle market share also increased from 31.7 percent in 2022 to 33.7 percent in 2023.
