Mount Lewotobi Men Vomit Abu Capai 1,500 Meters To The North
NTT - Mount Lewotobi Male in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) vomited ash eruptions reaching 1,500 meters from its peak to the north.
"From 06.00 WITA, there have been three eruptions and the height of the ash eruption column has reached 1,500 meters," said an officer of the Men's Mount Lewotobi Observer, Bobyson Lamanepa in Wulanggitang District, East Flores, Friday, February 2, which was confiscated by Antara.
The eruption occurred at 14:29 WITA on Friday, February 2, with the column of ash observed to be white to gray with thick intensity leaning towards the north.
The eruption was also recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 47.3 mm and a duration of approximately one minute two seconds.
Bobyson said the level of male Lewotobi mountain activity is now at Level III (Alert).
The public is advised to comply with the recommendations issued by PVMBG, because the mountain is still experiencing an eruption.

Bobyson reminded the public not to carry out activities within a radius of four kilometers from the eruption center, as well as sectoral five km in the North-Northeast and six kilometers in the northeast sector.
To avoid the dangers of volcanic ash, he advised people to continue to wear masks or mouth coverings.
"We always provide the latest information to the public regarding the condition of the volcano," he said.
PVMBG noted that the first eruption recorded today occurred at 08.25 WITA with a column height of ash reaching 700 meters above the peak.
Meanwhile, the second eruption was recorded at 12.48 WITA, but the height of the ash column was not observed.
