Failed To Make A Deal, Taylor Swift And Billie Eilish's Song Is Now Missing From TikTok
JAKARTA - Universal Music Group (UMG) is a label that houses many big artists from all over the world. Therefore, the end of the UMG contract with TikTokikut is detrimental to the fans.
After TikTok and UMG failed to negotiate, songs from leading artists began to be withdrawn from the video platform. Some of the artists who have lost their songs on TikTok are Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.
When fans check the profiles of the two singers, the music part on both profiles will be empty. TikTok does not display any music, but a message that reads, "Music is not available for now."
The loss of the music could be detrimental to Taylor and Billie because TikTok users will be looking for unofficial music. TikTok users who have used their music will also be harmed because their videos won't show any sound.
Taylor and Billie's song, which disappeared from TikTok, is a hot topic of conversation. The reason is, the songs of the two singers are widely used on TikTok. However, fans can't do anything because this happened due to the conflict between UMG and TikTok.
The dispute between TikTok and UMG has continued to be discussed over the past few days. In fact, UMG representatives who attended the Grammy awards event said that this dispute occurred because TikTok was selfish and did not want to protect artists.

The music label adds that TikTok allows its platform to be met by music generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI). In fact, the presence of this AI is very detrimental to the singers and creators again because it can reduce royalties.
On the other hand, TikTok blames UMG for ending their contract. According to the platform under ByteDance, UMG is greedy and does not prioritize artists and their songwriters by leaving TikTok.
In fact, TikTok's potential to promote artists is very strong. What's more, TikTok users have reached one billion users. TikTok also argues that UMG is more concerned than artists, songwriters, and fans.
