KPK Is Looking For Parties That Recommend The Procurement Contractor For The TKI Protection System Through Ribka Tjiptaning

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PDI-P (PDIP) Ribka Tjiptaning as a witness to alleged corruption in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) today.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said there were several things that investigators from Ribka Tjiptaning investigated. Among them are those who recommend a contractor to the former Director General (Dirjen) of the Development of Manpower Placement and Transmigration of the Ministry of Manpower, Reyna Usman, who is now a suspect.

"It is also explored the implementation of the procurement of the TKI protection system at the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower and the alleged existence of certain parties who provide recommendations for contractors who will carry out the project referred to the suspect RU," Ali told reporters, Thursday, February 1.

In addition, investigators are also exploring the relationship between Commission IX of the DPR and the Ministry of Manpower. It is known, when this corrupt practice occurred in 2012, Ribka served as a member of parliament in the commission.

Previously reported, the KPK named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the TKI protection system for the 2012 fiscal year. They are the Director General (Dirjen) of Manpower Placement and Transmigration of the Ministry of Mandiri Reyna Usman; Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower as well as Commitment Making Officer (PPK) I Nyoman Darmanta; and Director of PT Adi Inti Mandiri (AIM), Karunia.

The three of them allegedly caused the state to lose up to Rp17.6 billion. A number of places have been searched to investigate and look for evidence.

In addition, the KPK has examined PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin on Thursday, September 7. The former Minister of Manpower and Transmigration was examined for investigation regarding the approval of the use of the budget for the procurement of the TKI protection system.
