The Shooting Case Killed 1 Person In Karanganyar, Central Java, 3 Perpetrators Arrested

The police arrested three main perpetrators in the shooting and assault case that caused the death of one victim in Tohudan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java (Central Java). The three perpetrators have the initials SR alias KP (48), DE alias ER (44) and PO alias PT (43).

Based on a written statement via Antara, the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol Johanson Ronald Sinamora, explained that the police arrested the perpetrator SR who tried to escape at Waleri Kendal Regency, Central Java, on Sunday, January 28, at around 17.30 WIB.

The other two perpetrators, the initials DE and PO, started with 12 witnesses who were raised as suspects.

Johanson Ronald explained that the chronology of the shooting and abuse case began when an unknown group of people brought sharp weapons to the perpetrator's house in the Tohudan area, Colomadu District, Karanganyar.

The people who were gathered at the house fought back and chased the perpetrators of the attack.

The perpetrator of SR then had time to point a shot at an unknown group of people, and at that time there was one victim lying.

Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators, DE and PO, abused the victim, by hitting, kicking, and dragging the victim to the shoulder of the road. The victim who did not receive help finally died at the scene.

Johanson Ronald explained, from this case a number of evidences were secured at the scene, namely two bullet projectiles, five bullet casings, one large knife in the form of a machete belonging to the victim, one firearm and two CCTV Digital Video Recorder (DVR) units.

Police from a series of events matched CCTV at the location, as well as projectile casings and firearms used by the perpetrators tested ballistic in a forensic laboratory.

The results of the firearms used by the perpetrators and the shell projectiles at the crime scene are exactly the same. Thus, the police made an attempt to arrest the perpetrators.

His party is currently still investigating the shooting case. According to him, there is a possibility of other suspects in the case.

He said that of each of the three perpetrators subject to different articles, SR perpetrators were subject to multiple articles, namely 338 of the Criminal Code and Article 1 Paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law number 12 of 1951 with the threat of death penalty or 20 years in prison. Meanwhile, DE and PO perpetrators are subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code and or 170 paragraph two, with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
