KPK Denies Criminalization Of Ribka Tjiptaning: Inspection In The Ministry Of Manpower Case Is Not Ujug-jug We Do
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has denied allegations by the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto regarding the alleged criminalization of PDIP faction member Ribka Tjiptaning who was summoned as a witness today. Investigators did this effort to shed light on the case being investigated.
It is known that Ribka Tjiptaning underwent examination as a witness in the corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower in 2012.
"So this is certainly not an opportunity for us to carry out an examination. It didn't suddenly happen," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, February 1.
Ali said there had been a long process from investigation to investigation and a number of information that had to be confirmed. One of them is about recommendations in parliament.
"Then we found some facts that must be confirmed with witness Ribka Tjiptaning," he said.
Meanwhile, Ribka Tjiptaning after being questioned admitted that she did not know much about the corruption case that made her be examined as a witness. "Just ask the investigators," he told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
"(That's the case, red) 2011-2012. I don't know either. I don't really know, I didn't even get this invitation. I'm confused, why was it only appointed now even though it was 17 years ago. It was also asked that many "I don't know," said the member of the DPR.

As previously reported, Hasto suspected that there was an attempt to criminalize Ribka who was summoned as a witness to the alleged corruption in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration for the 2012 Fiscal Year. Today there is an attempt to criminalize the law," he told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 1.
"It happened not only to the Ganjar-Mahfud pair but also to the AMIN pair, namely Mbak Ribka Tjiptaning," continued Hasto.
Hasto said that Ribka had reported to the PDIP DPP when asked to come to the anti-corruption commission. There are allegations that the cadre often spoke loudly about the protection of migrant workers so that he was summoned in this case.
In addition, the alleged criminalization arose because, the moment of this summons was also close to a number of politicians who provided support for the number one pair, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or AMIN.
"Mbak Ning in this meeting often questioned the procurement of the TKI protection system," he said.
So, he was surprised when Ribka was asked to come to the KPK. "Suddenly a call like that appeared, there was no wind, "said Hasto.
