Mohamed Salah Opens His Mouth To Answer Criticism About Leaving The Egyptian National Team
JAKARTA - Mohamed Salah finally opened his voice on the criticism that came to him after leaving the Egyptian national team in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
As is known, Salah had to return to Liverpool due to a hamstring injury when Egypt fought Ghana in the second match of Group B, January 18, 2024.
However, Salah's return to recovery actually received a strong reaction from supporters because he considered the captain not loyal to his country, which is still struggling in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
In fact, from the Salah side, he committed to returning to defend Egypt as soon as possible. Therefore, he returned to Liverpool so that the recovery would run quickly and Salah could return to defend the national team at least during the quarter-finals.
What power, fans have their own views. Salah did not respond and muted the criticism that led him.
He just opened his voice recently through uploads on his personal X and Instagram accounts. Salah reported the recovery process while flicking critics.

"I also like it (comments) and the people (fans). Try harder," wrote Salah.
Salah's comments made the back fans mute. In fact, the 31-year-old player received defense from Liverpool's assistant manager, Pep Lijnders.
"You must not doubt Mo Salah's commitment. I have never met a man who is more committed in this life as a professional footballer."
"I know the country was devastated by the loss of him. We (Liverpool) were also very devastated to hear he was injured," Lijnders said at The Sun.
Unfortunately, Egypt's journey was stopped in the round of 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. They lost to the Democratic Republic of Congo on penalties 7-8 after a 1-1 draw until the extra round.
