Joni Mitchell Will Make His First Appearance At The Grammys At The Age Of 80
JAKARTA - Singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Joni Mitchell will premiere at the Grammy Awards held at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles on February 4 local time.
Despite winning nine Grammys during his lifetime, Joni Mitchell will only appear for the first time in the event at the age of 80.
"Don't miss GRAMMY nine times and pass @MusicaCares Person of The Year, @jonimitchell," wrote the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs Instagram account, viewed Wednesday, January 31.
Mitchell is the ninth performer announced to perform this year. Some of the other names that will appear are Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, U2, Billy Joel, Burna Boy, Travis Scott, and Luke Combs.
Meanwhile, Mitchell won his first Grammys 54 years ago, in 1969. At that time with the Clouds, he won the Best Folk Performances category.
