KPUPR Allocates IDR 162 Billion To Repair 7 Regional Roads In DIY

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Highways has allocated a budget of IDR 162 billion for the repair of 7 regional roads in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Province.

The road repair refers to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Increased Regional Road Connectivity.

As for the repair of the regional roads, there are 1 section of Kulonprogo Regency, 2 sections of Gunung Kidul Regency, 2 sections of Bantul Regency and 2 sections of Sleman Regency.

For the repair of regional roads in Kulonprogo Regency, it is carried out on the 3 km Brosot-Toyan Road section.

Then, in Gunung Kidul Regency, apart from the Wonosari-Mulo Road section, there are 1 other road segment that is also handled through the Regional Road Inpres, namely Jalan Semanu-Karangmojo. The total length of the two sections is 10.4 km.

Next, in Bantul Regency, there are Patuk-Terong Road and Imogiri-Dodogan Street. Then, in Sleman Regency there are Prambanan-Gayamharjo Street and Gejayan-Manukan Street.

Head of the Central Java-DIY National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN), Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of PUPR Rien Marlia, added that in 2023 the total length of regional roads handled by the Ministry of PUPR in DIY Province along 23 km and the 677 m Pandansimo Bridge in Bantul, with a total budget of IDR 812 billion.

Rien said, if all work implementations have been completed for 2 years, later by the end of 2024 a grant will be made from the Ministry of PUPR to the local government.

"We hope that the local government will continue to carry out maintenance of the sections that we have carried out to improve, so that they are maintained properly and according to the age of the plan that we have designed," he said in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, January 31.

For your information, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono has inaugurated 7 roads carried out through the Regional Road Inpres (IJD) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Province.

The inauguration was held on Jalan Wonosari-Mulo, Karangrejek, Gunung Kidul Regency, on Tuesday, January 30.
