Menkumham Reminds Immigration Staff To Act Professionally, Don't Make Images Negative

JAKARTA - Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna H. Laoly is determined to create a world class immigration (world-class immigration) in Indonesia in the momentum of the 74th Immigration Bhakti Day.

He appealed to the ranks of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Immigration to apply professional, accountable, synergistic, transparent, innovative (PASTI) values and implement the principles of service-oriented, accountable, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative principles (BERAKHLAK).

"I hope that the ranks of immigration, so that they can truly become ASN-ASN who really prioritize the exact value and BERAKHLAK, professional, so that immigration to world class immigration can be achieved," Yasonna said in his remarks during the 74th Commemoration of Bhakti Immigration Day Commemoration in Kuningan, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.

On the other hand, Yasonna underlined the synergy of ranks at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Directorate General of Immigration is needed to improve the quality of immigration performance.

This synergy is becoming very important, there is no one man show (single show, ed.), but it is collaboration, synergy, among all of us. Starting from the highest leadership to the bottom. Collaboration is also between one level, horizontal, peers(sebaya, ed.), it must also be done well, so there is good harmony," he added.

Not to be missed, the Minister of Law and Human Rights advised his staff to prioritize professionalism in their work. This is so that Indonesian Immigration is free from negative images.

"I advise you as the bearer of immigration duties and functions to always be careful in acting, careful in taking action, and careful in making decisions. Prioritize community services and avoid things that can bring a negative image," he said.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General (Dirjen) of Immigration, Silmy Karim, said that the directorate he leads continues to make improvements, one of which is through control management in border areas.

"I am sure that strengthening in border control management will increase immigration's ability to detect, prevent, anticipate, and distribute various violations which will then become the basis of law enforcement," he said.

He also said that the Directorate General of Immigration was intensifying the digital transformation of immigration and working hard to achieve the quality Golden Visa target.

"Through the concept of Golden Visa, we take advantage of the current growing trends in the international community in attracting investors, digital talent (digital talent), and individuals expected by the Indonesian people and will trigger an explosion of advances in capabilities in various fields," said Silmy.
