Anies Meets Santri To Jidup Environmental Fighters In Serang
JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan met with people, students, scholars, and environmental fighters in Padarincang, Serang Regency, Banten.
"I heard here that there are environmental problems. Therefore, we are here to change and solve environmental problems," said Anies in Padarincang, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.
Anies emphasized that Indonesia is here for the people, not conglomerates. Therefore, the Padarincang people still survive in this area for change.
"We realized when we heard that in Padarincang there were many challenges, there were environmental problems. So, I emphasize that this Republic is present for the people, not conglomerates," he said.
Anies said it was not his first visit to Padarincang. He first set foot 14 years ago, even coming to Ujung Kulon. However, in the Banten area, there are still many areas left behind until schools and teachers are lacking.
"In fact, we can progress if there is education. I came there to take the teachers. The name of the program is Indonesia Teaching, 14 years ago. I conveyed it to everyone," said the presidential candidate number 1.
