Toyota Plans To Release GR Crown, This Is The Performance Estimate
JAKARTA - Toyota has introduced the latest Crown models for several markets with varying types, including Signia in the US and Crown Sport for Japan. Although the series lineup has been expanded, it does not relax the company's ambition to offer more versions.
According to a Japanese media report, Best Car, Tuesday, January 30, it is rumored that this model will get a high-performance variant with a motorsport touch from the Gazoo Racing (GR) division.
While it is still unknown whether the trim in question is GR Sport or GR which will be embedded in front of the car name, the manufacturer is currently preparing Crown with a more sporting design than before.
Unfortunately, this is all just speculation so that information about this model is very limited. If this car carries the name GR Crown, then the crossover gets a lower suspension tuning by displaying a new set of rims with aggressive bodykit.
Thus, this luxury car will get a front and back bumper more prominently decorated with intake which helps the aerodynamic side, such as GR Yaris or GR Corolla. This sporty reshuffle can effectively turn Crown from a crossover into a slimmer fastback-style sedan.
For the inside, Toyota's design will offer a dark impression with contrasting red stitches, showing another aggressiveness side of this model. Then, the front seat will get a sporty seat with a GR emblem that adorns several cabin sides.
The increase in GR's distinctive touch is also carried out in the leg sector such as suspensions and braking. This car will later offer a responsive steering wheel, thereby increasing the sensation of pleasure in driving.

For specifications, it is estimated that this model will carry 2.4 liters of turbocharged gasoline and generate 296 dk of power. Because this car is put into the low-emissions vehicle lineup, GR Crown will get a dual electric motor, battery, and eCVT transmission that offers the efficiency of fuel use.
With some of these components, it's not surprising that the model can gain up to 375 dk of combined power and make it the most powerful Crown, after the hospital's Crown Crossover with a power of 344 dk.
Toyota GR Crown is rumored to appear this summer, likely priced at 7.5 million yen, equivalent to IDR 804.1 million for the Japanese market.
