Guntur Soekarnoputra Claims If Ganjar Wins Jokowi 'What Do You Want To Do Easy', Palace Quoted Bung Karno
JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana reminded all parties not to make the 2024 election democracy party a moment to consider political opponents as enemies.
Ari conveyed this in response to the statement of President Soekarno's eldest son, Mohammad Guntur Soekarnoputra, who said that President Joko Widodo's fate could be determined if the candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD won the 2024 presidential election.
"I agree with what Mas Ganjar Pranowo said. I think Mas Ganjar's message reminds us all that currently, in the political year, contestation of competition stands out, political differences will definitely stand out," said Ari Dwipayana as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.
He also reminded the Indonesian people not to be hostile to each other, but to be brothers and children of the Indonesian nation.
Ari then quoted Ganjar's statement so that Indonesian unity must continue to be built through maturity in democracy and politics.
"I think Mas Ganjar's message is very relevant, that political competition should not open the distance and also keep us apart from each other, even considering the political opponent as an enemy," he explained.
Ari also quoted President Soekarno's statement in his speech on June 1, 1945 that the first was the unity of Indonesia.
"Because the spirit must really be our soul, what Bung Karno said that although we are diverse from political choices, various from the choices that exist in the context of elections, political differences occur; but do not let that difference eliminate what we call the spirit of Indonesian unity," said Ari.
He said Ganjar Pranowo had committed that Indonesia should progress together based on government collaboration and outside government elements.
