Bawaslu Invites Students To Jump Directly To Supervise The 2024 Election To Be Honest And Transparent
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) hopes that students will participate in supervising the 2024 General Election process so that a quality democratic party will be realized."We are conducting socialization of participatory surveillance targeting campuses, we hope that many TPS supervisors will come from students," said DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Community Prevention and Participation Division Coordinator Burhanuddin to reporters, Tuesday, January 30, as reported by Antara.Burhan said that with the involvement of students, TPS can be monitored honestly and transparently.According to him, students are intellectuals so they are independent and are expected not to be affiliated with political parties or any candidate.The hope is that the joining of students in this democratic party will be able to support in terms of technology."If we use the Election Supervision System (Siwaslu) application, then student friends can use technology properly and not 'gaptek'," he said.
South Jakarta City Bawaslu Commissioner Ahmad Fahlevi added that the latest socialization carried out by the South Jakarta KPU was entitled "Socialization of Participatory Election Supervision" on Monday, January 29."We hope that the participatory supervision will also be carried out by the public, especially when they see allegations of violations," said Ahmad.Ahmad said that with the involvement of students, they are expected to be active in reporting to election violations."There is a lot of public concern for monitoring during the election stage this year," he said.The election campaign period is set to take place from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, while the vote is scheduled for February 14, 2024.
