1,000 APKs Violating Rules In Semarang Lowered

Ahead of the implementation of the 2024 General Election on February 14, 2024, the Semarang City Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) disciplined more than 1,000 campaign props (APK) that violated the rules. Control of the APK was carried out on the Semarang City protocol road by deploying four joint teams. Arief said there are at least 1,000 APK installed in Semarang City that violates the rules and spread throughout the region. Apart from the city level, the ranks of supervisors in 16 sub-districts have also been instructed to control the APB that violates the rules.

"There are 1,000 APKs that have been brought under control, the results of our identification in the Semarang area are almost that number. Today, we are orientationd simultaneously in 16 sub-districts and also discipline it. This is controlling the city level, later there will be 16 sub-districts," he added. Arief explained, APKs that are disciplined for violating the rules, namely installed independently, installed with fire, or installed close to government facilities, education, and worship. For APKs that have been secured, usually not taken back by their owners. "Usually taken again if the flag, if the props are usually not," he concluded.
