2 Damaged Water Pipelines, BPBD Landslide Analysis On The Probolinggo Waterfall Line
JATIM - The Probolinggo Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) conducted an analysis or assessment after landslides in Negororejo Village and a footpath to Madakaripura Waterfall."We have conducted an assessment at the landslide location of the footpath to Madakarkapura Falls and coordinated with the Head of Negororejo Village, Lumbang District," said Head of BPBD Probolinggo Oemar Sjarief in a written statement in Probolinggo, East Java, Monday, January 29, quoted by Antara.He appealed to the public, especially those living on the riverbanks or close to the river to be more careful in dealing with potential hydrometeorological disasters such as heavy rains and flash floods."We urge the public to always protect the nature around and not throw any garbage into the river and so on. Hopefully, Probolinggo Regency will always be protected by Allah SWT from all disasters," he said.
Meanwhile, the sub-district head, Saniwar, said rain with moderate to heavy intensity in the Lumbang sub-district caused flooding and caused damage to the retaining wall in Negororejo Village for 60 meters with a height of 7 meters of landslide."The heavy rain also caused roads to the 300-meter Madakaripura Waterfall tourist area with a height of 3 meters to also landslide and caused damage to two clean water pipelines in Branggah Village and Negororejo Village," he said.He explained that the flood also caused damage to rice fields and two motorbikes of residents were washed away, but they had been found damaged and there were no casualties in the natural disaster.Meanwhile, BPBD Probolinggo Regency also handed over logistical assistance for house victims collapsed due to heavy rains and strong winds in Kraksaan Wetan Village, Kraksaan District.Logistical assistance provided includes blankets, mattresses, food packages, cleaning supplies, clothing packages, biscuits, ready-to-eat food and tarpaulins.
