JPU Dakwa Kades Campaigns For Wife Of West Lombok DPRD Candidates To Lose Electoral District 5 Narmada NTB
The Mataram District Court (PN) held the inaugural trial of the Head of Village (Kades) Langko Mawardi who campaigned for his wife as a legislative candidate for the West Lombok Regency DPRD on social media (medsos).The Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged Mawardi with benefiting his wife named Namiratul Fajriah and harming West Lombok DPRD candidates in the 5th Electoral District of Narmada."That the defendant as the Head of Langko Village deliberately made a decision and/or took actions that were profitable or detrimental to one of the election participants during the campaign period," said Ni Luh Putu Mirah Torisia Dewi representing the prosecutor reading Mawardi's indictment before the Mataram District Court judges, Monday, January 29, as reported by Antara."If between several acts, although each is a crime or a violation, there is such a relationship that it must be seen as a continuing act," he continued.In the indictment, the prosecutor outlined Mawardi's actions in violation of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections."That the defendant uploaded an image containing one of the candidates for the West Lombok Regency DPRD members number 2 from the PKB Electoral District 5 Narmada Lingsar on behalf of Namiratul Fajriah with the words 'Don't forget to choose the son/daughter of Langko Village to contribute to the progress of the village community'," said the prosecutor.The prosecutor explained that the defendant uploaded a photo of Namibia Fajriah along with the article on a WhatsApp (WA) social media group called "CROSS Generation Discussion" consisting of 112 people on December 5, 2023.
Furthermore, on December 6, 2023, Mawardi re-uploaded a photo of his wife on the WhatsApp social media group "Discussion Across Generations" by writing the phrase "Let's choose Namiratul Fajriah, the best daughter of Langko Village for the progress of our beloved village".On the same day, Mawardi uploaded a photo of his wife on a personal Facebook social media account called Mawardi Mursyid by writing the phrase "The village's best daughter is fighting for village progress in the Lingsar and Narmada sub-districts, may Allah bless. Amen".The prosecutor also said that the defendant committed such an act during the campaign period, from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024.By declaring the defendant as a government official who violated neutrality, the prosecutor charged Mawardi with Article 490 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Election in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
