KPU Records Damage To Voice Letters In Semarang Reaches 0.3 Percent

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Semarang City stated that the findings of the level of damage to the 2024 election ballots from the results of the sorting and folding stages were only around 0.2 to 0.3 percent.

"I prefer the language is a ballot that is less suitable for use, yes. Yesterday it was reported to the Indonesian KPU, an average of 0.2 to 0.3 percent," said Semarang City KPU chairman Henry Casandra Gultom in Semarang, Central Java (Central Java), Monday, January 29, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the condition of the ballot in question included spots and cuts; so that the standard level of deviation is still safe below 0.5 percent.

"And it's not the KPU's fault, but because the production process is. The task of sorting and folding is to ensure that ballots are in all conditions suitable for use," he added.

The Semarang City KPU has also submitted a replacement for the underprivileged ballot.

"I think it is still very understandable and safe, and we have submitted a replacement. In essence, replacement is carried out," he said.

Currently, he said the ongoing stage was the packing of ballots into ballot boxes. On Sunday, January 28, the ballot packing process was carried out in Ngaliyan District and will be followed in other sub-districts.

As for the logistics distribution for the 2024 General Election, the Semarang City KPU has scheduled in early February to all sub-districts in the city.

"The plan starts in early February, we distribute logistics to all sub-districts. The model is gradual, yes. In one day, maybe we send one, two sub-districts," he said.
