Medan Jaya Mukomuko Residents Complain About 7.5 Hours Of Power Outage Without Notification
MUKOMUKO - A resident of Medan Jaya Village, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, complained about a 7.5 hour power outage in his area without notification from PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).Based on observations in Medan Jaya Village, Ipuh District, electricity from PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Bengkulu-ULP Mukomuko began to go out at around 07.30 WIB and turned on again at 15.00 WIB."Since this morning the electricity in this village has been out and the electricity has only turned on in the afternoon without any notification from PLN," said Chairman of the Medan Jaya Village Consultative Body (BPD) Fahriq Doviza in Ipuh, Antara, Sunday, January 28.He said that his party received information on blackouts from PT PLN on Sunday starting from 07.00 WIB to 13.00 WIB, but not for the Medan Jaya Village area, but in the Malin Deman District, Tirta Mulya Village, and Tanjung Jaya Village.According to him, PLN in this case in addition to missetting areas that were targeted by blackouts, as well as blackouts in the region exceeded the set schedule."It's not just today that PLN has turned off electricity without notification, and in previous days, electricity in this area occurred three to four times a day," he said. The routine of power outages in this area, he said, makes micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) specifically for fruit juice traders unable to carry out activities as usual. In addition, he said, erratic power outages in the area also make it difficult for residents in this area to water because they cannot use bore wells.
Some residents in this area are forced to use the nearest mosque facilities to take a shower and clean water needs for cooking.A resident of Tanjung Sulastri Village who works as a fruit juice trader in Medan Jaya Village said the power outage occurred overnight in his area and the electricity just turned on in his area this Sunday."In our area, the electricity went out overnight, on Sunday morning the electricity turned on," he said.
